Transformations II

Whether you are a hairdresser, a house framer or anyone else…there’s nothing as sweet as seeing the satisfying outcome of your work!  I’m sure you can relate, in your own field, whether career or hobby.

This is what fires my passion in this biz…seeing things in “before” condition but imagining the “after” as well. Here’s a before and after pair…showing the marvelous Annie Sloan chalk paint…in leather (did I hear you gasp, just then? No wonder….I had to take the risk too) This chair was in spotless condition, just a bit dirty. I suppose the colour was off putting, or they had no room.  I loved the classic shape….and decided to venture into painting leather.  When the AS wax was added afterwards, it returned to a buttery soft condition…like new!  (I would assume it will continue to require some leather conditioner over the years, as all leather does.)image-e1446049231737-224x300and with an image added to the seat, it is finished (and sold now)

Have you got a before and after pairing you could share? I’d love to see it.  Got questions, just ask!
