This beautiful cabinet was found unloved and grimy. Years of use hadn’t dulled its quality and its likely the loveliest cabinet we have ever worked on! Everything in the cabinet is made of hardwood – no pressboard anywhere! EXCEPTIONAL!
The details on the sides of the cabinet are delightful – bead-like trim that is also solid wood. Now don’t forget to take into account that this cabinet is nearly 90 years old – but you could not tell that by its condition. wow… So you can expect to get many decades of service from this lovely piece to come!
So I knew we needed to snap it up and get it into the workshop for the restyling it so very much deserved! It took a while before I could see what it needed. And so what you see today, is the result of months of thought and planning. The soft grey paint suits any decor – and with 3 layers of clear topcoats, its ready to be used in any room.
This cabinet would be equally at home in your dining room, kitchen eating area or any bedroom. It might store table linens, placemats, candles, serving pieces or any bedroom necessities. Paired with our antique oval mirror frame ? SENSATIONAL!!
